Automated Driver Record Monitoring

Arlington, Texas – March 7, 2006 – Smith System, the leader in professional driver training, today announced a partnership with SAMBA FleetWatch, an automated driver record monitoring service based in Albuquerque, N. M. The partnership provides fleet managers with a comprehensive system to identify at-risk drivers and to provide appropriate training.

SAMBA FleetWatch automates the cumbersome administrative task of ordering, decoding, reviewing and filing paper driver records. Using the most current state driver record data available, FleetWatch reports all drivers with suspended or revoked licenses, reports citation activity, and decodes each infraction for quick and easy viewing. Automated FleetWatch reports are available monthly, quarterly, or semi-annually, and can be accessed through any Internet browser, providing secure 24/7 online access to all driver reports and records.

Combining SAMBA FleetWatch driver identification with Smith System driver training, including Smith System on-road and on-line training and SmithSAFE 24-hour fleet monitoring, provides a comprehensive safety solution for fleet or risk managers. Coordinating individual driver records with appropriate training creates a cost-effective way for fleets to reduce accidents and to minimize liability.
