Two-Day DOT Compliance Seminar
Are you prepared for a DOT Safety Audit? Are you prepared for CSA?
Are you prepared for a DOT Compliance Review? Do you understand your SMS BASIC scores?
CSA (Compliance, Safety & Accountability) is the new Safety Measurement System (SMS) that measures the previous two (2) years of roadside violations and crash data. With SMS, every inspection counts! Not just out-of-service violations, and both driver and carrier safety performance are measured.
The best way to prepare your fleet for these significant changes and protect your safety rating is to attend Smith System's two-day DOT Compliance Seminar. We'll walk you through the new CSA safety measurement system methodology and provide manuals and other materials for use as you implement procedures to help lower your BASIC scores. We'll also cover existing requirements and best practices for accident reporting, record keeping, driver qualification, hours of service, controlled substances and alcohol testing (including D&A recognition training and certification), CDL requirements, driving rules and maintenance. (The seminar is very interactive, so be sure to come prepared with questions specific to your operations.)
The cost to attend the two-day DOT Seminar is $629 per person.
And now we feature a new third-day course on Hazardous Materials! Our HazMat Basics one-day training course outlines the actions necessary to comply with Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations.
This basic course is designed for shippers, motor carriers, freight forwarders/brokers and 3PL firms handling ground shipments of hazardous materials. The course reviews Title 49 and provides specific focus on parts 171 through 178 of the Code.
When attending as a stand alone one-day course the HazMat Basics seminar is $329 per person. These courses are scheduled to be added as a third day with our DOT Compliance seminar for an additional $279 per person.
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations state that "Every motor carrier, its officers, agents, representatives, and employees responsible for the management, maintenance, operation, or driving of commercial motor vehicles, or the hiring, supervising, training, assigning, or dispatching of drivers, shall be instructed in and comply."
Whether you need to be current on DOT Compliance or want a solid overview of HazMat Basics, Smith System's DOT Seminar and HazMat Course can fill your needs.
